Accessibility Statement
Our commitment, current status, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.

Our commitment
ForkScore is committed to making forkscore.ai usable for everyone, including people who use assistive technologies. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target standard. We treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation, not a one-time audit.
Current conformance status
ForkScore is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Areas we have audited and made progress on:
- Tap-target sizes meet 44×44 CSS-pixel minimum on the share kit (/earn) and home referral surfaces;
- Color contrast on primary text and CTA components is verified against WCAG AA (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text);
- Semantic HTML is used for headings, lists, and form structure;
- Image alt text is provided for AI-generated food photos and brand assets;
- Focus rings are visible on interactive elements via the user agent default styling;
- Native share, cookie, and storage APIs degrade gracefully when unavailable (e.g., older Safari versions).
Areas we know are not yet fully accessible:
- The swipe-feed component on /home does not yet expose a fully keyboard-accessible alternative; the scroll-mode toggle (top-right) provides a keyboard-friendly alternative experience;
- Some onboarding tooltips disappear on focus loss before screen readers can fully announce their content;
- The QR code on /earn is presented as an image without an accessible alt-text equivalent of the encoded URL beyond the descriptive label.
How to report a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility issue on forkscore.ai or in our mobile app, please contact us. We aim to respond within five (5) business days and to remediate verified issues within thirty (30) days where the fix is reasonable.
Email: support@forkscore.ai
Subject line:"Accessibility"
Please include the URL where you encountered the issue, a description of the barrier, and the assistive technology or browser you are using.
Compatibility
ForkScore is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile. Recent versions of common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) should announce content in primary task flows.
We do not test against EOL browser versions or assistive technologies that are no longer supported by their vendors.
Assessment approach
Our current assessment is based on internal review using axe-core automated scanning, manual keyboard navigation, and review against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria. We have not yet engaged a third-party accessibility audit. As ForkScore grows, we plan to commission an external audit and publish its results.
Formal complaints
If you are unable to resolve an accessibility issue through the contact above and you believe our website discriminates on the basis of disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or equivalent law in your jurisdiction, you may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice at ada.gov/file-a-complaint or the equivalent regulator in your jurisdiction.
