Refund Policy
When refunds are issued, the cancellation flow, and your statutory rights.

Subscription cancellations
You may cancel your ForkScore Pro or Family subscription at any time from your profile or via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period; you keep Pro access until then. We do not pro-rate partial-month refunds for time already used, except as required by law.
When we issue refunds
We issue refunds in the following circumstances:
- Within 14 days of initial purchase for users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive). You may withdraw without giving a reason; refund is processed within 14 days of receipt of your withdrawal notice.
- Where required by your jurisdiction's consumer protection law, including but not limited to Australia (Australian Consumer Law), Brazil (CDC), and U.S. state laws that grant cooling-off periods for digital subscriptions.
- If a service outage prevents you from using a paid feature for a continuous period of more than 72 hours during a billing cycle, you may request a pro-rated refund of the affected period.
- Duplicate or erroneous charges are refunded in full upon verification.
- At our discretion, we may issue a refund outside the above categories where, in our judgment, the user experience warranted it. This is goodwill — not a right you can demand.
How to request a refund
Email support@forkscore.ai from the email address on your ForkScore account, with the subject line "Refund Request" and the following information:
- The date and amount of the charge in question;
- The reason for your request;
- For EU/UK consumer-withdrawal requests, a clear statement that you are exercising your right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU.
We respond to refund requests within seven (7) business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe and may take up to ten (10) business days to appear on your statement.
In-app purchases (mobile)
Subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by Apple's and Google's respective refund policies. We cannot directly refund those charges; please request refunds through the platform you used to purchase.

Chargebacks
We discourage chargebacks initiated through your bank or card issuer before contacting us. Chargebacks impose merchant penalties and remove our ability to address your concern directly. If you initiate a chargeback for a charge we would have refunded, we may close your account in addition to processing the chargeback.
No partial refunds for unused time
Outside the categories listed above, we do not refund the unused portion of a billing period. Subscriptions remain active until the end of the period you paid for.
