Brown Butter Banana Bread
Moist, deeply flavored banana bread made with brown butter, extra-ripe bananas, and a hint of cinnamon. The secret is using bananas so ripe they look like they belong in the compost.
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it smells nutty and turns amber, about 5 minutes. Let cool slightly.

Mash bananas in a large bowl. Stir in brown butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix. Fold in walnuts if using.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
