Acceptable Use Policy
What you can and can't do on ForkScore.
Effective April 27, 2026 · v2026-04-27
Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the Terms of Service. By using ForkScore you agree to comply with both. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or account termination.
You may not
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law;
- Submit content you do not own or have rights to use, including recipes copied verbatim from publishers without authorization;
- Submit content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, hateful, or that promotes violence;
- Submit content that is sexually explicit or that exploits minors in any way;
- Submit recipes intended to cause harm (poisoning, dangerous food-handling, allergen concealment), or content that incites or instructs others to harm themselves or third parties;
- Misuse the AI extraction system — for example, by submitting URLs that are not recipes (paywalls, malware sites, or content unrelated to cooking) in volumes designed to consume our compute budget;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the ForkScore algorithm, scrape ranked results in bulk, or otherwise interfere with the integrity of our ranking;
- Bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, paywalls, referral attribution rules, or content-filtering systems;
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers, or automation tools without our prior written consent (excluding standard search-engine crawlers following robots.txt);
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network; use security testing tools without prior written authorization (see security@forkscore.ai for our coordinated disclosure process);
- Impersonate another person or organization, including spoofing email addresses or claiming to act on behalf of Adkins Labs;
- Harvest, scrape, or otherwise collect personal information about other users without their consent;
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam), phishing messages, or chain letters;
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit any portion of the Service without our express written consent.
Reporting violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP, report the user or content to legal@forkscore.ai with as much detail as you can — at minimum, the URL of the offending content and a description of the violation. For copyright claims, follow the procedure at /legal/dmca.
Enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion: (a) remove or disable access to violating content; (b) suspend or terminate accounts; (c) restrict access to features; (d) report illegal activity to appropriate authorities. We are not obligated to provide notice before taking enforcement action when (i) doing so would prejudice an investigation, (ii) the violation poses imminent risk of harm, or (iii) the user is not reachable.
Repeat violators of this AUP, or any user found to have committed a serious or willful violation, are subject to permanent termination.
